2022 LATEST UPDATE KALIBO to BORACAY REQUIREMENTS 

We went last week to Boracay ( June 24,2022), I will share with you the changes with the requirements and fees. 

We came from Manila and fly to Kalibo. We rented a van to transfer to Caticlan.  When we arrived in Kalibo there were no requirements they did not even check our vaccine card.  I traveled with my family and we have 3 kids with us.    

Upon arrival in Caticlan, there was a line outside the terminal. It was a bit strange I've been in Boracay for nth times but there was no long line like this.

I  did learn that they were still asking for the OHDC  QR code inside 

You need to prepare the following :

1. Proof of Identification with Philippine Residency/ Passport for Foreigners/OFWs/Ofs
2. Proof of Vaccination Status
   • For Fully-Vaccinated Individuals
     • VaxCertPH COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate with full vaccination status from https://vaxcert.doh.gov.ph/
     • Locally-issued Vaccination Card/ID with full vaccination status and with verifiable QR Code or, with contact details of the vaccination center; or,
   • For below 12 years old
     • Please accomplish the Certificate of Undertaking Travelling with Minors template at https://aklan.gov.ph under Tourism or you may click here.
3. A copy of the confirmed booking slip/form from a DOT-Accredited Boracay Island accommodation establishment,
4. Roundtrip flight/travel details.

 Others were not aware that Caticlan port was still strict with the requirements since there are no requirements needed from Kalibo Airport.

Inside the  Terminal there are 4 booths for the following :

• QR code verification booth 
• Terminal fee booth:  100Php 
• Environmental fee booth : 75php
• Boat rental booth:25  Php

Please note that going back to Caticlan from Boracay Island you have to pay again 100 php terminal fee

I will share to you how I lost 9 pounds during the quarantine.  Before the lockdown, I was at 119.71 pounds.  I always maintain 110 pounds weight because it was the ideal weight for my height. 

A brief background of why I gained weight.  A lot of occasions before the lockdown. Christmas, New Year, Birthday, and sweets from  Valentine's date. Last February, I step on the weighing scale and got shocked by the number on the scale. I decided to buy a treadmill for my weight-loss plan but it did not work for me.  I got tired during my early shift at work and chose to sleep for the rest of the day instead.  I think of other ways to lose weight, and I saw a post about the Ketogenic diet and Intermittent fasting. I got curious about it, I did my research and follow the ketogenic way of eating.  Quarantine day is the perfect time to manage what I eat because I am the one cooking our food, and eating out is not allowed. 

The combination of Ketogenic diet and Intermittent fasting really works for me.

What is ketogenic? Keto way of eating consuming a lot of fat, and eating less or no more carbohydrate. In this diet, we avoid sugary food like bread, pasta, rice, noodles, and other high-carb food. 

What is Intermittent fasting? It is an eating pattern that cycles between periods of fasting and eating. I followed 16 by 8 rules. I fast for  16 hours and consume food during an 8-hour window.  I take my dinner at 6 pm, have my black coffee for breakfast, and my first meal will be at 11 am. 

Tip: One of the best ways you can tell if you are losing weight is by seeing how your clothes fit, try your old dress with a zipper at the back if you can now zip it that is a clear sign that you lost weight meal plan is paying off.

Vigan : A Preserved Heritage City in Ilocos Sur Philipphines

Vigan, The oldest town in the Philippines and the home of one of the world's seven wonder cities.  It was considered seven wonder cities because the city was well preserved Spanish Colonial town in Asia.  Vigan was captured by the Spanish in 1572. The name Vigan was derived from the word "bigaa"

The picture above was the 15th-century Spanish street called  " Calle Crisologo ". It is now linked with an Antique house, souvenir store, and local restaurant.  We visited at night time to enjoy the romantic lights and took silhouette photos.

Lubang, officially the Municipality of Lubang, a municipality in the province of Occidental Mindoro, Philippines.

Looking for a secluded beach to have a selfie time? I suggest Lubang Island.  
This Island has fewer visitors. What I love about this beach is you do not need to go far or dive deeper to experience swimming with fishes and view the coral reefs.

For a budget traveler like me, I always search for cheap hostels and also reading the reviews given by the previous customers online. 
I checked online booking.com, and I saw a promo for as low as  $13.21 ( 633.02 PHP).
The reviews were amazing. I booked the hotel and got the confirmation right away. I have to pay upon arrival at the hotel.

I've been to Boracay about five times. I keep on coming back because of the stunning white sand, clear blue water, and peace of mind.  This time I will share with you how I spent my 100 dollars for my 2 days and 1 night Boracay escapade.  If you are a cheap traveler this guide will work for you.

It is located on the southern Philippine island of Mindanao in the Davao Region. 

 It says the overall height of the falls is 1,110 feet(338 meters).
He said a bus ride took 6 hours while the van will be just 4 hours so I chose the van. 

I am always fascinated with natural waterfalls. I love to feel the breeze and enjoy the water curtain. It really made me relax.. so I googled the highest waterfall in our country Philippines, and the search engine gave me ALIWAGWAG FALLS.
